Fifteen years in the trade means most of what turns up on a job, I have seen a version of before — the awkward old fittings, the pipework someone bodged two decades ago, the thing the last bloke said could not be done. Experience mostly shows up as fewer surprises: a straighter answer up front, and a job that goes the way it was quoted.

Plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying are three separate qualifications, and I hold all three. That means I can look at a job end to end instead of through the window of one ticket, and tell you honestly what needs doing — and just as often, what does not.
